My 2 YO has feeding issues and gets nearly all of her nutrition from a prescribed formula. Will we be able to bring aboard a week’s worth of her liquid formula? Also, her bottles are premade for the day, can we bring those along as well?

    Ahoy, Seth!

I’m so glad you stopped by with your question! Your upcoming Disney cruise sounds like it will be packed with magical moments for your family! Even though your little one might not remember all the details, you’ll never forget the joy of watching her take in the wonder of a Disney ship for the first time. For me, seeing my kids’ reactions as we stepped aboard the Disney Dream is a memory I’ll always treasure.

Let’s dive into your question! The great news is that yes, you can bring a week’s worth of your daughter’s prescribed liquid formula onboard. Here are a few tips to ensure a smooth process:

    • Make sure the formula is in its original factory-sealed packaging to avoid any issues during the check-in process.
    • Pack it in your carry-on luggage—Disney Cruise Line requires any beverages to be brought onboard this way. A small rolling carry-on can be a lifesaver as it’s easy to manage while navigating the terminal and ship.

When it comes to her premade bottles, here’s where it gets a bit more nuanced. Typically, items not in original factory-sealed packaging aren’t permitted onboard, with the notable exception of breast milk. Whether the premade bottles will be allowed may depend on port security, so I recommend preparing enough bottles to last until about 1:30–2:00 PM, when your stateroom will be ready. Once you’re settled in, you’ll have the perfect setup to prepare bottles for the rest of the day.

Here’s a bit of pixie-dusted parenting magic you might not know about: Disney Cruise Line offers complimentary amenities like bottle warmers, sterilizers, and so much more through Guest Services. These are first come, first serve, so I recommend heading to Guest Services as soon as you board to snag them. They’ll make prepping for your little Mouseketeer a breeze!

Another tip: The Dining Team onboard Disney Cruise Line is nothing short of magical. If you need accommodations during mealtimes, don’t hesitate to let your Server know on the first night. They’ll go above and beyond to ensure your family’s needs are met throughout the voyage.

Finally, don’t forget to relax and soak up the magic. There’s something truly special about sharing this adventure as a family, and you’ll find plenty of quiet spaces onboard where you can bond, whether it’s lounging on deck or taking in the ocean views.

I hope this helps you feel prepared for your magical voyage. Soon, you’ll be sailing away with a boatload of memories to cherish!

Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
    Dustin
