Can I feed a Giraffe? I have searched website about Animal Kingdom but find no reference.

    Hi Robert!

There are many great ways to see and enjoy a variety of animals while on vacation at Walt Disney World. One of the four great theme parks is dedicated to animals and animal preservation and that is the Animal Kingdom Theme Park, All guests can enter and immerse themselves with all things animals and observe them through the park safari attraction, on the walking trails, bird shows, and animal site locations found throughout the park.

Another way to experience animals and learn more about them is through the Backstage Tales Tour. This tour will take guests backstage where many can never go and you will see where some of the animals live when not on stage as well as the animal kitchen and veterinary facilities. Animal interaction is not guaranteed but possible. When I took this tour a few years ago we did not feed the giraffes but we were able to be close enough to fall in love with their eyes!

The Animal Kingdom Park changes daily with the addition of animals and new shows and entertainment. At the end of this month guests will find new magic in the Pandora-World of Avatar new land in the park. It is absolutely amazing and offers guests two new attractions and new dining opportunities. Although you won't be able to feed a giraffe on your next trip I think you will enjoy this new area of the park.
