Chester from WA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

February 1-15 2024 ,my wife and I are coming to Disneyland for our 48th anniversary. I couldn't seem to get my device to work properly so maybe you can help me. Is world of color closed at this time? Also any tips to help our stay more memorable?

    Hi Chester!

Welcome back to planDisney. I'm thrilled to hear you'll be celebrating your anniversary at Disneyland Resort. What a wonderful way to commemorate the happy occasion!

I vividly remember watching World of Color for the first time, so I understand why you'd want to make this a priority experience during your trip. This year a new version, World of Color – ONE, debuted as part of the Disney100 celebration, but it appears that it's scheduled for a refurbishment during your travel dates. I know this is likely not the answer you hoped for but there is still plenty of magic (and romance) to enjoy during your visit.

Mickey's Mix Magic is set to return to Disneyland Park on January 8, 2024, and features colorful projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle and down Main Street, U.S.A. My family enjoyed a version of this a few years ago and it was just the right mix of magic and fun as we ended our day. Entertainment offerings are subject to change so I'd recommend keeping an eye onthe Hours & Events Calendar for the full list of offerings during your dates. We typically see schedules updated about 4-6 weeks in advance so the information should be available soon.

Speaking of offerings, you'll want to note that Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite is a separately ticketed event scheduled on select nights during your travel dates. If you plan to visit Disneyland Park on February 1, 6, 8, 12, or 14th, the park will close to daytime guests as the event begins. This shouldn't put a damper on your fun, but I want to be sure you're aware of the abbreviated hours.

Now, when it comes to celebrating a special occasion I always opt for a delicious meal. My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Carthay Circle Restaurant on our last visit. In fact, he's still raving about the martini he enjoyed there. I'd recommend making an advance dining reservation for a special dinner together during your stay. Additionally, you might want to book a service at Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I haven't yet enjoyed a massage here myself, but my pal Danielle raved about her recent experience.

Be sure to download the Disneyland Mobile App before your arrival. This will help you view wait times for your favorite attractions and even make Lightning Lane selections via Disney Genie+ Service. Purchasing Genie+ will also include unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass pictures, which would be the perfect way to relive your special anniversary memories long after your trip. If you've confirmed the latest version of the app is installed and you're still having trouble, I'd recommend reaching out to a member of the Website Support Team at (714) 520-6222.

Chester, I hope this was helpful! Please come back and see us again with more planning questions.
