We will be going in February and would like to do something special with my 6 year old, are there any things other than the Star Wars Jedi training that he could do?

    Hi Nicole,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I love that you are looking for something special for your 6-year-old to do while at Walt Disney World. Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is a great idea. In this unique experience, your youngling can train to be a Jedi. Let me offer a few other ideas for your child.

Pirate Adventure Cruises offer young buccaneers the chance to sail and search for treasure! There are three different adventures to choose from, each departing from a different Walt Disney World resort hotel. These cruises are only for children ages 4 to 12. Another special pirate treat is a trip to The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom. There, children can be transformed into pirates, empresses or mermaids. My daughter loved her transformation into a pirate, and especially enjoyed that they gave her a special pirate name.

For something a little different and that the whole family can experience together, consider Disney's Family Magic Tour. This takes place at Magic Kingdom, and is a scavenger hunt at Magic Kingdom where you look for clues on your adventure. Another special tour that you could take together is Caring for Giants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, where you will learn about how Disney's elephants are cared for.

I hope that this gives you some ideas for your vacation, Nicole. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
