going feb25-march3 taking 5 year old grandson not sure about the weather what to wear i need to find a back bag do you have any suggestions

    Hi John,

Only a few short weeks until your trip :-) Five is an awesome age to visit Disney World and you're going to have a great time with your grandson!

The average highs towards the end of February / beginning of March are typically in the low to mid 70s & average lows are in the mid-40s. Keep in mind these are averages. The temperatures climb a little as March progresses.  A couple of days prior to your trip, go to www.weather.com & check the 10-day forecast just in case there is some out of the ordinary weather pattern moving through.

February is one of those months you can have some warm days and some cold days so I prepare for both. Typically the evenings do get a little cool.  I am cold natured so I always take along a heavier jacket, sweatshirts and jeans. I also throw in my gloves, scarf and something to keep my ears warm. In addition, I bring along short sleeve shirts for the warmer days. If the 10-day forecast shows really nice weather, I also throw in one pair of shorts.

The average rainfall is a little over 3 inches in February but just in case, I always throw in some cheap disposable ponchos.  If you forget these and it rains, ponchos and umbrellas are available in the theme parks.

I am a backpack kind of gal.  I went to a sporting goods store and got a little nicer backpack that has thicker straps on the back for comfort. You'll be happy you did this as the day goes on. I also chose one with several zipper compartments - this makes it easier to organize. Be sure to and put your name on it.Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
