On Feb 28, 2019 we are planning to do our first stop at Magic Kingdom, the park hours read: Park Hours: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM and then below it states: Ticketed Event: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM Can you tell me what this means being a ticketed event? Thank you

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Amanda!

I'm thrilled to hEAR you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort next year! It's my great pleasure to answer your question.

Special ticketed events are magical experiences which require separate tickets from regular admission to the Disney Theme Parks. These events take place at specific times and may cause park closures or changes in standard theme park hours.

On February 28, 2019, Magic Kingdom Park will be hosting Disney After Hours. On that day, the park will close to day Guests at 8:00 p.m. If you wish to remain for the exclusive 3-hour park experience that follows, you will be required to purchase Tickets for the evening event too. Otherwise, plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park a different day. That said, I highly recommend Disney After Hours, as attraction lines are much shorter than usual making the evening quite magical!

Disney Mom Tip: As you continue to plan your visit, be sure to check out the Free vacation Planning Videos. These provide a great overview of the theme parks, Walt Disney World Resort hotels and so much more!
