Hi Georgia! Welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is SO close now! As you approach the two-week mark, check out these
fun ideas from my fellow planDisney Panelists. It's safe to say that we all love a good vacation countdown!
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios is AH-MAZ-ING! You will love exploring and taking in all the details that can be found on Planet Batuu. First, let's talk about attractions. For
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Star Tours – The Adventures Continue (not in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, but still a must-do!), you will find that you simply need to head to the attractions and wait in the Standby queue. The exception to this is
Stars Wars: Rise of the Resistance where a virtual queue is in place. At 7:00 AM on the day you plan to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will want to enter the virtual queue. I suggest having the
My Disney Experience mobile app open a few minutes prior to 7:00 AM to make sure you are logged in, and scroll down and click "Join" for the virtual queue. Then, keep refreshing until the queue opens right at 7:00 AM. Once you get in, you will follow the prompts to snag a spot in the virtual queue for everyone in your party and it will give you your boarding group number. If for any reason you don't make it into that first queue, you can try again at 1:00 PM (times are subject to change, so make sure to check the app for updates).
Next up, FOOD!
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and
Ronto Roasters are two delicious spots to grab a bite to eat, no reservation required. I'm a big fan of the Ronto Wrap myself! If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of
Oga's Cantina, you will need a reservation. I looked up your three dates for a party of four and didn't find any availability, but I suggest you keep checking at the link I just included to see if anything opens up due to last-minute cancellations. You can also check at the stand outside of this location the day you are there, just in case. Don't forget to stop by the
Milk Stand to try both blue and green milk, so you can all vote which one you think is best. I'm team blue!
Now on to
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers at the Walt Disney World Resort. I just checked availability on your dates and unfortunately, I did not find any openings for this experience. Again, I suggest you continue to check availability for your dates for any cancellations that happen between now and your visit. You will need a reservation for every builder, so if all three of your sons want to build a lightsaber, you will need three reservations. There is availability at Droid Depot, however, and my kids LOVED building their own droids. It is definitely a good back-up plan!
I hope this helps, Georgia! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
