In Feb25 we want to do 5-10th Boardwalk, then offsite for 3 nights, then 13-18th Grand Floridian. We'd like the new free dining offer announced today, but can it only apply to the first res because theme park tickets would only be booked for that one?

    Hi Caroline!
    Welcome to planDisney.

It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK, and with the exciting announcement of the free "Dining & Drinks" being offered as part of a package for us in 2025, I completely understand there are a lot of questions about this.

This special offer can be booked with the Walt Disney Travel Company International from 18th April 2024, for select dates in 2025.  You are correct -  a dining plan can only be added to a package - that is a Disney hotel resort and ticket package.  So you can add it to your Disney's Boardwalk Inn reservation which includes your park tickets, but it cannot be added to your Disney's Grand Floridian Resort reservation as that is for the hotel only.  I know how disappointing this is because I ran into a similar situation myself on a previous trip.

The only way around this would be to change your plans to stay at one Disney Resort hotel for your entire stay.  I completely understand that this is not ideal!  I love your thoughts about starting at an EPCOT Resort and completing your stay over at the Magic Kingdom Resort, so I would do some calculations to see if it would be worth it to have your dining plan for the whole stay, versus the inconvenience of changing your plans. You have chosen two beautiful Disney Resort hotels, and I wouldn't want to choose between them.

This list of restaurants shows all those that accept the 2024 Disney Dining Plan - check out the menus and prices for those you intend to visit. (Please note this menu list may be amended slightly for 2025, and prices are always subject to change.)  If you have your dining plan for the first 5 days, ensure you visit the most costly Table-Service restaurants during that time to make the best use of your dining plan.

When you check-in to Disney's BoardWalk Resort you will receive the Disney Dining Plan which includes - per guest, per night of stay - 1 Table-Service Meal, 1 Quick-Service Meal, 1 Snack and a drink included with each meal (which can be an alcoholic drink for guests over 21).  You can continue to use this until midnight of your check-out day.

The Resort Refillable Mug that you each receive at the beginning of your holiday as part of the dining plan will be valid for 14 days, so you can continue to use that for the whole of your holiday.  At Disney's Grand Floridian Resort you can refill them at Gasparilla Island Grill quick-service restaurant, and also poolside at the Courtyard Pool Bar.  In addition, you may refill these mugs at any Disney Resort hotel - you'll find the beverage stations close to the quick-service locations.

If you need further clarification about the Disney Dining Plans, or anything else, please come back and visit us again.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World!
