Hiya Marie - welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so glad that you stopped by to ask your very first question about my very favorite topic - food! Dining is probably the thing I look forward to most on a
Walt Disney World Vacation, and while
Advance Dining Reservations are always great, I'm usually grabbing reservations while I'm already at Walt Disney World Resort the day-of or using
Mobile Dine Walk-up.
I'm guessing that your question refers to the time selection options you can select when using the Check Dining Availability feature of the
My Disney Experience app. To be perfectly honest, I've been wondering myself why I sometimes see the
Now button, and other times I only see mealtimes (e.g., Lunch) and clock times (e.g., 1:00 p.m.). While I did not test this at Disney Springs during my trip last week, while I was at Magic Kingdom Park I saw the
Now button once, and another time I did not!
Maybe it's a Stitch glitch, or maybe there is some fancy magic going on in the background that I just don't understand, but whatever it is, we don't have to worry. In my experience, using the
Now button shows me similar results as selecting the soonest clock time, so if you don't see the
Now button, don't fret!
Also, if you're focused on dining at Disney Springs, know that some of the restaurants that are not Disney-owned-and-operated also accept reservations through other platforms/apps, and many also have walk-up lists that you can join in-person! I've done this many times and recently had a great lunch at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' by walking up - oh my goodness, I dream about those amazing deviled eggs!
Thanks for stopping by -
please let me know if you have any other questions we can help with!
