It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gwen!
I'm so glad you asked this, because I know sometimes it can feel a little bit tricky to get those advanced dining reservations at exactly the times you want them, especially if it's at a popular restaurant with a really cool theme like
T-REX at
Disney Springs. If you haven't been able to get the time you want yet, I think it's a great idea to keep checking for reservations using the
My Disney Experience app. It really is the best way to find a dining reservation in the weeks and days leading up to your vacation, and even at the very last minute! I once found a day-of reservation for
The BOATHOUSE when I was sitting on the plane on my way to Walt Disney World Resort when I couldn't find one at all before that, so you never know what kind of magic might happen. When it comes to walking up without a reservation and requesting a table, it never hurts to ask! They may have some availability, but be prepared with a backup plan in case there aren't any tables available or there's a bit of a wait.
Your
Disney Dining Plan officially begins on the first day of the vacation package you booked, so if you're looking to add an extra night at your
Resort Hotel at the beginning of your trip, you won't be able to use your Dining Plan on that day. The good news is that your credits will be ready for you to use bright and early the next morning so you can grab your resort refillable mug and some breakfast before you head into the theme parks. If you want to discuss the specifics of your Dining Plan or extend your Resort Hotel stay, you can
contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and a Cast Member will help make those plans for you.
Have a magical day, Gwen!
