Is it feasible to think that you could watch World of Color show in California Adventures at 9 and then make it to the 10:45 showing of the Main Street Electrical Parade in Disneyland?

Greetings, Lourainia, and thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your wonderful question!

Yes, it’s definitely feasible to make it from the 9:00 PM World of Color show in Disney California Adventure Park to the 10:45 PM Main Street Electrical Parade in Disneyland Park! The World of Color nighttime spectacular is approximately 22 minutes long, and crowds start making their way out of the park afterward by about 9:30 PM. So, you’ll find yourself out on the Esplanade (the area between Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park) by about 9:45 PM. Luckily, Disneyland Park is just a few steps away! Then, with your Park Hopper Ticket or Disneyland Resort Annual Passport, you can enter Disneyland Park at the Main Entrance gates, and still have about an hour to find a great viewing spot for the Main Street Electrical Parade. The second viewing of the Parade tends to be less crowded than the first, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding a spot at that time. Main Street, U.S.A. tends to fill up first, so I’d recommend heading toward “it’s a small world” if you have any trouble finding a good spot.

Once my family finds a good viewing spot, we like to mobile order delicious ice cream from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor so one member of our group can pick it up and deliver it back as we wait for the magic to begin! Their freshly-baked waffle cups are my favorite! Have you tried Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering yet? It’s a game-changer for my busy crew of little Mouseketeers! To use this feature, simply download the Disneyland app -- it’s my favorite tool for making the most of our Disney days!

Also, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your day of arrival, so you can start mapping out the magic! It sounds like you already have a great plan for the evening. Don’t forget to check out these amazing end-of-summer experiences at the Disneyland Resort!

Can’t wait to see ya’ real soon!
