Hi there, Cheryl-Louise, and welcome to planDisney!
Fireworks displays are huge draws for many Disney World visitors from around the world; however, sometimes the loud noises and possible vibrations aren't the most magical for other guests. Being married to someone who also is not the biggest fan of fireworks, I am just your gal to help you out, Cheryl-Louise.
I'll start by saying that Animal Kingdom is the one theme park that doesn't have fireworks due to the many species of creatures who inhabit the area. Hakuna Matata; I don't think the lions would be too fond of the big bangs! I highly recommend sticking to this theme park at any time of day to stay clear of any surprises.
Now, let's dive into the other theme parks:
Hollywood StudiosMy family had to learn the hard way about steering clear of fireworks at this fun, story-filled theme park. You'll want to stay away from the central area and Toy Story Land/ Little Mermaid show side of the theme park around fireworks time. They are loud and right in the midst of guest pathways. I recommend cozying up in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in the back of the park or taking a ride on the upcoming Muppets-reimagining of Rock 'N' Roller Coaster to avoid the fireworks.
Magic KingdomMy hubby likes to hang out at City Hall or inside of the Town Square Theater (where you can meet Mickey Mouse) during Happily Ever After, the nightly fireworks show. But if you want to still see the fireworks but not necessarily hear the fireworks, hop on the Monorail and explore the Resort hotels like the Contemporary and the Polynesian. We had dinner once at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and we totally forgot that fireworks were going off.
EPCOTThis park is a bit tricky to avoid the fireworks noise and explosions. One night, my husband and I could still hear the fireworks all the way to the front of the theme park towards the parking lot. I recommend chilling inside the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind queue or visit indoor World Nature pavilions like the Land or the Seas.
You'll definitely want to keep track of fireworks showtimes in the
My Disney Experience app. Click on the desired park icon (i.e., the mini Cinderella Castle representing Magic Kingdom) and select "Today's Showtimes." Side note: Magic Kingdom has a daytime show called Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire that has a few pops of fireworks toward the end. You can see how knowing the showtimes will be very important in order for you to feel at ease.
AN EXTRA GEM: Another option is to bring noise-canceling headphones. There isn't a go-to set that I can recommend, but try to find a pair that will provide you with some peace of mind while at the
Disney World theme parks.
Cheryl-Louise, I hope that this answer helps you! I know how tough it can be navigating a new environment, especially when you just want to have a fun time. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming holiday,

Magic always,
