Welcome back to planDisney, Christi! You have impeccable timing - planDisney just shared some savvy tips on this
'ways to save' topic!
One of my beloved little Disney hacks is planning a Resort day. No park tickets required, but still filled with magic! From a morning splash in the pool to fun activities like making tie-dye t-shirts, and wrapping it all up with
Movies Under the Stars, there’s plenty of complimentary magic at your Disney Resort hotel. It's the perfect way to enjoy some downtime without dipping into your park budget.
Another great way to save those Disney dollars is by keeping breakfast light in your room and going for a heartier meal at lunch. Quick-service meals are brilliant for this, and often, portions are large enough to share. For instance, over at
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Magic Kingdom, we’ve found the portions can satisfy more than one appetite (did someone say 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger?)! Also, don’t forget you can bring snacks into the parks, and a refillable water bottle is a must, especially under that Florida sun.
Sticking with complimentary
Genie services on the My Disney Experience app is another win for both your budget and your planning. The free service for all Guests helps organise your day with tips and reminders, leaving more room in the budget for a memorable dining experience, like Character Dining at EPCOT's
Garden Grill Restaurant!
Upgrading to Lightning Lane Multi Pass will get you additional features, but it's not a necessity, especially as Disney Resort hotel Guests can access Early Entry to the Parks. I highly recommend using this perk and heading straight to your must-do rides.
Christi, I hope these tips help you have a magical (and wallet-friendly) adventure at Walt Disney World!
Pixie dust and savings,
Louise
P.S. Limit your time in the gift shops. All bets are off for me when it comes to Disney merchandise.
