What are some of your favorite restaurants at the resorts (as opposed to in the Parks)?

    Hi Jonas,

I think my favorite resort family restaurant is the Grand Floridian Cafe.  It is casual enough that my 3 year old feels comfortable and the menu offers a great variety of steak and seafood.  Another fun family option is Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge.  The food isn't as good as the Grand Floridian Cafe, but the atmosphere is wonderful.  The cuisine is very similar to chain barbecue restaurants.  The servers are a lot of fun and they have different activities for children every 15-20 minutes.

If your looking to experience the best of the Walt Disney World and there are no children under 10 in your party, you can go to Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian.  The menu is always changing and the chef may be able to accommodate specific likes or dislikes.  When we went we sat at the chef's table in a private area adjacent to the kitchen.  We were able to talk with the chefs and ask all sorts of questions.  The men in the party we able to take there jackets off since we were outside the main dining area and we were able to speak at a slightly louder level.  It was a wonderful experience and something I will always remember.

There is only one reservation a day at the chef's table, so it is best to call 180 days before your trip.

    Enjoy your trip
