Do you have a favorite resort? What would you recommend for a couple in their 50s?

    Hi Patricia!

My favorite Disney resort (without any hesitation) is The Grand Floridian!  I was recently there on vacation with my husband and children and we had the time of our lives!

First of all, it's STUNNING!  The Victorian decor is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is wonderful.  You can enjoy music from the live band or the piano player in the lobby. I also love being able to walk outside and seeing Cinderella Castle at night when it is decorated in beautiful lights.  You can also enjoy Magic Kingdom's fireworks display from the resort's beach area.  Very romantic!

I  truly appreciate the convenience of travel.  With the Monorail, water ferry, and buses, you will not have any trouble getting to your destination.  Since Magic Kingdom is my favorite park, location is key!

The pools are wonderful, and considering that you're in Disney World, rather relaxing.  My room overlooked the pool, and we never had an issue with the noise level.

In reference to dining, you can have it all!  You can grab a quick bite, enjoy character dining and enjoy Disney's exquisite, Victoria and Albert's.  You can also take a break from the parks and have High Tea at the resort.    Please call (407)WDW-DINE for reservations.

It's hard to include everything I love about this resort.  I tried my best...I promise!  If you have any other questions, please let me know.  Have a magical vacation!!!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
