Hello Becca!
While I adore answering any and all Guest questions sent to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, tough ones, like this, really make my
ears perk up. I love finding answers for Guests and learning new things about my favorite place.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my favorite Disney Resort Hotels and one we've stayed at many times. One year, we stayed there when my son was just beginning to walk. As we made our way to Old Port Royale from our room, he'd stop and dance to the Caribbean music near every outdoor speaker. Needles to say his toddler-trot and dancing made each trip quite the adventure and we were always eager to get a cup of the delicious citrus water once we finally got there.
I spoke with Kevin, in their Food and Beverage office, and he gave me all the details on how they made the refreshing treat for Guests. He said they used the Zephyrhills brand of water, which is natural Florida spring water. For the 3-gallon dispenser used at the resort, they would then add 12 sliced lemons and 12 sliced limes. That's all! He added that it is the concentration of the lemons and limes that really added to the flavors and made the water so refreshing in the hot, Florida sun. Unfortunately, with the refurbishments going on, it's not currently available at the resort, but now you'll at least be able to make it at home.
I'm so happy you sent this question in to us, Becca, and thrilled to be the one to answer it for you. Enjoy your beverage and please send us another question real soon.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
