Hey there Ryan and welcome to planDisney!
Anybody that knows me knows I value my rest and relaxation anywhere but especially during my visits to the Walt Disney World Resort. Over the years I've found plenty of great ways to chill out on my vacation. While my number 1 favorite tip is to catch a poolside nap at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel if the weather allows, here are a few more spots that help you get out of the rat race, or in this case, mouse race.
On my most recent trip to Magic Kingdom Park, I really enjoyed hanging out on the planter where the statue of Walt and Mickey are and sitting outside of
Casey's Corner. The first gives you a lovely view of Cinderella Castle where you can take in the sights and sounds of Main Street, U.S.A. The second spot is especially great if you can catch the piano player taking requests outside of the beloved eatery. And of course, the best naps can be had on the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress while I dream of my great big beautiful tomorrow.
In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, there's this perfect little spot on the edge of Asia as you go towards Africa. It overlooks the river where you can see characters sailing by on their
flotillas. Plus it's right next to Mr. Kamal's. So grab those fries and rest your feet at one of those tables for a nice break.
In EPCOT, there's a beautiful fountain in the Japan Pavillion that is so peaceful and offers a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle. I also enjoy grabbing some mango sorbet from
L'Artisan des Glaces and enjoying the air conditioning at the
Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. There's also a quiet area in the United Kingdom Pavillion that always gives me Cherry Tree Lane vibes. That is if Command Performance isn't playing a set at that time.
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, take in a showing of
Walt Disney: One Man's Dream at
Walt Disney Presents. Get a little respite from all of that hustle and bustle and see how all of that Disney magic we know and love came to be.
Ryan, I hope you come back from your vacation rested and refreshed. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!
Happy planning!
Taylor
