My father-in-law is retired military and buying military discounted tickets for our WDW trip in February. We have 6 tickets over 3 different reservation (resort stays booked with DVC). When tickets are bought can I assign to each person if linked on MDE?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Braden!

As one of the military moms on the panel, I’d like to thank your father-in-law for his service to our country. My family loves our together time at the Walt Disney World Resort, and we’re so grateful for the fantastic discounts that make our visit as possible.

Your father-in-law will be able to purchase up to 6 military promotional theme park tickets at his local base or from Shades of Green. As long as he (or another member of your party with a valid and active military ID) is traveling with you, those tickets can be activated and used during your February visit. When you arrive, you’ll need to stop by a Guest Relations or theme park ticket window so he can show his ID and activate the tickets for each of you. Once that’s done, you’re ready to let the magic begin!

Since he’s buying the tickets in advance, you’ll want to be sure to link the tickets to each Guest in your party’s My Disney Experience profile as soon as the tickets are purchased. It sounds like you’ll be doing the linking, so you’ll want to be sure you are linked as Family & Friends with each Guest. Once the tickets are purchased, you’ll use the ticket number on the back of the ticket card or exchange certificate to link the ticket to each Guest; I like to write the Guest’s name on each ticket just to keep them straight for my visit.

Once the tickets are linked, you’ll be able to make FastPass+ selections for each day of your resort stay. I’m not sure if your 3 Disney Vacation Club reservations are separate reservations for different Guests, or if you’ll be switching resort hotels. As Guests at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you’re eligible to make FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your check-in date; if you’ll be switching hotels, you may need to make your FastPass+ selections separately for each leg of your stay. Once you have both tickets and your resort stay linked to each Guest in My Disney Experience, you’ll be able to see which days you’ll be allowed to make FastPass+ selections.

Braden, I hope that clarifies the process of linking tickets and resort reservations and making FastPass+ selections. It’s always a pleasure to help a military family with their logistics, so please come back and see us if we can help with further questions or next steps.

Have so much fun this February!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
