My father-in-law is an Army veteran. He has offered to buy discounted military tickets for us on base, but will not be traveling with us to WDW next month. Does he have to be there for us to use the tickets?

    Hi Giovanna,

First, I'd like to thank your father-in-law for his service. If he's purchasing the 4-day military special offer tickets, he would need to be present when the vouchers are activated at Walt Disney World. If he is purchasing standard tickets with the MWR/ITT discount, he does not need to be present because the tickets (most likely) won't need activated when you arrive at Walt Disney World. These tickets are standard tickets, just sold at a discount of around 4-8% off gate price. You'll also save by not paying taxes on the tickets if they're purchased at an MWR/ITT office.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Have a magical day,
    Ashley
