Hello! My Father is turning 75 and has been in love with Disney since I can remember. Our family trip has been to Disney Land Orlando since I was 6 months old, I am now 40! Would love to find an adult themed way to celebrate with Mickey and some magic!

    Hi Jeffrey!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! It's so sweet that you want to find a special way to celebrate your father's 75th birthday AND his love of Disney.  There is nothing more magical than celebrating a milestone birthday in a place that is near and dear to your heart with the people you love the most!

Jeffrey, it sounds like your family is full of veteran Disney travelers so I'm not going to spend too much time on some of the more obvious ways to celebrate - like grabbing your complimentary celebration button.  However, I will point out that I think a character dining experience sounds like a wonderful idea for your family.  Walt Disney said "Adults are only kids grown up," and that sentiment is especially true when you're visiting Walt Disney World Resort.  I think a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's would be the perfect way to laugh and play with some of his favorite characters while reminiscing about all of your vacation memories throughout the years.  If you're looking for something with a more "refined" menu, you could also check out Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White.  Don't forget that many Table-Service restaurants have the option to pre-order a Mickey Celebration Cake!

Outside of the character hugs, I'd also recommend checking out the Enchanting Extras Collection for some unique opportunities that may be new to your family.  How does a private specialty cruise for your family during Happily Ever After sound?  Snacks, soft drinks, and festive balloons are included and the music from the show is playing on the boat while the fireworks light up the sky.  There are also dessert parties at Magic Kingdom Park and the Celebration at the Top: Sip, Savor, Sparkle available for special ways to view the fireworks.  Another option that I think he would love is booking a Capture Your Moment photography session.  This 20-minute session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer is a great way to gather the family together for some wonderful photo opportunities that I'm sure would mean the world to him!  If you have purchased Memory Maker for your trip, the photo downloads from this private session will be included!

Jeffrey, whatever you choose to do, I'm sure it will be such a special trip for your father to celebrate with his family at the Most Magical Place on Earth!  I did want to point out that the options I've shared with you recommend advanced reservations and I see your trip is approaching fast.  You can check availability online for many of these or call and speak to a Cast Member for help booking.  You can also view an assortment of in-room floral and gift options available!

I hope Tinker Bell has buckets of pixie dust to sprinkle on this magical celebration!  Please visit us again with any other questions you have!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
