Hi Darla, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
First and foremost, thank you to your Dad for his military service. As a Navy wife, I so appreciate all the ways Walt Disney World makes it easy for military families to spend time together in The Most Magical Place on Earth, and it’s a pleasure for me to be able to help other military families plan their vacations.
Darla, there are currently some fantastic
special offers available for military members at Walt Disney World Resort, including discounted
tickets,
resort hotel reservations, and even Memory Maker. In the fine print for these offers, it states that “valid military identification will be required for purchase and use.” We have needed to show our Military ID to purchase tickets on base and at Shades of Green, and we have also needed to show ID again to activate the tickets at a Guest Relations window at Walt Disney World.
My suggestion is to call Shades of Green, which is the resort for military members on Disney property. I call them all the time with ticket questions, and they are very helpful. They can be reached at (407) 824-1403 daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST. They will be able to ask detailed questions about the documentation you have and help you determine what you're eligible for.
I hope that helps you get closer to an answer, Darla. Please come back and see us if you have any further questions.
Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day!
Robyn
