My father is a FL resident and purchased our 2 children, FL Res Tickets. Will my children need to be present for activation? (The other cousins are getting in a day earlier and wondering if we need two trips to guest services to activate?) Thanks

    Welcome to planDisney Arin!

It is so exciting that you are almost a month away from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There are so many exciting things happening during your visit. You will be arriving during EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts, one of my favorite festivals. The DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series is a staple of the festival and is just incredible. I also love all of the custom art throughout the World Showcase. I’m sure all of the cousins will certainly enjoy being a part of some of the iconic pieces of art found throughout the park (I suggest a cousin photo at Washington Crossing the Delaware near The American Adventure Pavilion).

Great news, your father should only need to take one trip to Guest Services to activate his Florida Resident Theme Park tickets. Any Guest under the age of 17 is not required to show proof of Florida Residency to activate passes. This should help you all free up some time before your park days. With the extra time, you may want to check out Disney Springs. You can check out some of the most extensive collection of 50th Anniversary merchandise at World of Disney. You can get some of your souvenirs early so that you can have more time for rides in the theme parks.

I hope you all have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort. Let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip.
