My father has purchased my girlfriend and I a 3-day military Disney ticket. It says that the military ID holder must be present on initial activation, so does that mean he must be present every day we go or does he need to be there just the first day?

Hey there, hi there, Jalen! Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to have you stop by with your military ticket question!

I am so excited to hear you are visiting Disneyland soon, and your father was able to get Disneyland Military Promotional Tickets for you and your girlfriend. Our family is active duty, and we look forward to being able to use these tickets on our visits as well. Did you know that you don't have to use them within 13 days of the first day of use like a standard park hopper ticket? You can use them on nonconsecutive visits throughout the valid ticket dates. You are correct that the military member must be present to show ID on the initial activation of the ticket. So he would only need to be with you and show his ID when you use the tickets for the first time. However, the military member must also be using a ticket. It wasn't clear if he was planning on joining you in the parks or not. Be sure to read all the important information for this special offer.

Another important part of these tickets is making sure you have them linked to a MyDisney account so you can make theme park ticket reservations. Theme park reservations are required for entry along with your tickets. Make that a priority if you don't have reservations yet.

Jalen, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have the best time visiting Disneyland during Halloween Time

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
