Hi Linda,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question! I’ve visited Walt Disney World Resort with a good friend of mine who has mobility issues but who can still transfer/walk short distances, and so I have some experience navigating the Parks with someone who is in an
ECV.
When you arrive at a given attraction or dining location, there will typically be a place for your father-in-law to park his vehicle close to its entrance. All you’ll need to do is ask a Cast Member for that location, and they’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
There are even some attractions that will allow him to stay in his ECV right up until boarding, either in the conventional line or via a separate disability access. Again, please ask a Cast Member for assistance if you have any questions about the queue for a given attraction.
If you want to get specific information about how your party, including your father-in-law, will be able to access a given attraction, please consult the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page. It’s a great and extremely detailed resource for any mobility-related questions that you may have!
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
