Hi! If my father in law purchases 5 Salute Celebrate America tickets and one regular Salute ticket, can he assign the regular Salute ticket to himself since he will not be visiting multiple times this year?

Hey there, Jamie, and welcome to planDisney! We’re so glad you’re here. I see you have a trip to Walt Disney World Resort coming up. How exciting! I hope your countdown is short. First and foremost, thank you to your father and your family for your service. As a military spouse myself, I truly appreciate it.

I love that Walt Disney World Resort offers such generous specials to military personnel and their families. I’ve taken advantage of these offers for years, and it’s wonderful to experience the magic without breaking the bank. I was thrilled to see that the new Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket is now available! The Disney Military Salute Tickets have always been a fantastic deal, but this new offer lets you visit the theme parks multiple times a year at an incredible price. I can’t wait to get them for my family!

To link your Disney Military Salute Tickets, sign in to your My Disney Experience account. Go to the “Link Reservations and Purchases” page, select “Tickets,” and enter the ID number for each ticket separately. The Walt Disney World Resort website will show you what the number should look like and where to find it. Once you’ve entered all the ID numbers, you can assign each ticket to a guest in your party. This is where you’ll attach the Disney Military Salute Ticket to your father. If you run into any issues, Cast Members are only a call away and ready to help.

It’s important to know that you’ll need to activate your park tickets before entering. The eligible service member must present a valid military ID. I like to do this at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs at the start of my trip, but you can also activate tickets at the Guest Relations window outside any theme park. The process is quick and easy; just be sure to have your valid military ID ready. Be sure the tickets are already linked to your My Disney Experience. If not, make sure you have them with you.

Bonus tip: Don't forget to make your Theme Park Reservations as you need them to enter each theme park. Also, while you're activating your tickets, ask about the specially priced Memory Maker.

Jamie, I hope this information has helped! Spending time together is so important, and there’s no better place than The Most Magical Place on Earth. Some of my most cherished memories with my boys have been made here. If you need any more assistance, please come back and see us.

    Your personal planning companion,
