My father, who is a Florida resident, wants to help with the cost of his granddaughters first trip to WDW. Would we be able to use his Florida resident discounts to book the resort, even if he wasn't present for check-in?

    Hi Erin!

While it's kind of your father to want to help you in planning for your daughters first trip to Walt Disney World, he won't be able to extend his Florida resident benefits to you on your stay if you do not have a valid Proof of FL residency of your own at check in (and when picking up your tickets). Whenever I have enjoyed a stay at a Florida resident rate, my husband and I have both been asked to show the required proof of residency. I hope this helps!
