Paul from Queensland Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

With fastpasses, are the fastpasses for spectacles such as fireworks or light shows separate or do they count towards the 3 fastpasses allowed?

Hello Paul, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am thrilled to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon. I love being able to use the FastPass+ system to save time waiting in lines and enjoy more of the magic with my family. Any guest with a valid theme park admission ticket linked to their My Disney Experience account can reserve up to 3 initial experiences in 30 days in advance. If you are a guest staying at a select Disney Resort Hotel, you can make your selections 60 days prior to your check-in date.

FastPass+ selections can be any combination of rides, attractions, character greeting experiences, shows and nighttime spectaculars that all count towards your limit. Once you have redeemed your initial 3 FastPass+ selections, you can make the fourth selection, as long as there is availability. I would suggest making your initial FastPass+ selections as early in the day as possible and then using your 4th FastPass+ experience for fireworks or nighttime entertainment if they are available.

Another option for fireworks viewing is to attend a delicious dessert party. Not only will you enjoy some sweet treats, but you will have access to a VIP viewing area. Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at Epcot World Showcase and the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are two of my favorites. Reservations are recommended and can be made in advance by calling (407) 939-5277.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
