How does FastPass Plus work for character meets? Does each person in the party need a FastPass, or 1 per family? Can you still have other ride FastPasses while waiting to use a character FastPass?

Hi there, Ellen! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Character meet and greets are one of my family's absolute favorite things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort, and we almost always grab a FastPass+ selection to Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theatre

Ellen, any person over the age of 3 who enters the FastPass+ queue will have to have their own FastPass+ reservation linked to their admission card or MagicBand. So each member of your family will need to have their own FastPass+ selection.

You may make up to 3 advanced FastPass+ selections for each day that you are visiting a theme park. Your FastPass+ selections can be for rides, shows, character meets, or a combination. These selections can be made up to 30 days in advance or up to 60 days in advance for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or select Good Neighbor hotels. You can easily make these FastPass+ selections on your My Disney Experience Account. After your initial 3 FastPass+ selections are used up, you can make as many as you would like, one at a time.

If you do not want to use one of your 3 advanced FastPass+ selections to meet one of your best friends, you can always book a character meal. These dining experiences are a great way to maximize your time as you can often meet up to 4 to 5 characters during a single meal!

I hope that this helped, Ellen. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
