How do you get a fastpass if you are no staying on Disney property ? We will be coming in September 2014.

    Hi Velma,

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation in September!  For Guests not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you have 2 options for selecting FastPass+.  First, in order to select FastPass+ up to 30 days ahead of your visit you should create an online account with My Disney Experience.  Follow the previous link to learn more and to make a My Disney Experience account for yourself.  Once you have created your profile in My Disney Experience you can link theme park tickets for you and anybody traveling with you.  Then 30 days prior to your vacation you will be eligible to make FastPass+ selections online through My Disney Experience.

The second way to select FastPass+ experiences is at the kiosks located inside the theme parks.  If you do not wish to create an account in My Disney Experience or purchase your theme park tickets ahead of time, you may make FastPass+ selections after you have entered the theme park on the day(s) you visit.  Kiosks are located throughout each of the theme parks and Cast Members are available to assist you with your selections.

Velma I would like to note that if you have a child who does not require a ticket to enter the theme park (under 3 years old), then they will not need a FastPass+ selection of their own and will simply accompany you in the FastPass+ queue on all of the attractions in which you have a FastPass+.  For more answers to FastPass+ Frequently Asked Questions take a look at this linked page.

I hope you find this information helpful.  Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with all of your vacation planning questions.
