Fastest way to get to steakhouse 71 from Polynesian resort

    Hi Kateena! Welcome to planDisney!

I don’t know what to be more excited about on your behalf, your stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or your visit to Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Polynesian has one of my kids’ favorite pools, the Lava Pool, and it is home to my favorite breakfast, Tonga Toast, from Kona Café. And don’t forget the ability to have a DOLE Whip whenever you want from Pineapple Lanai! Throw in watching Happily Ever After from the beaches of Seven Seas Lagoon, and you'll feel like you are staying at Moana’s Island, Motunui. What a fantastic Walt Disney World experience!

Now that I’m done gushing over your Disney Resorts Collection hotel choice, let me answer your question about the fastest way to get to Steakhouse 71 from Disney’s Polynesian Village.

The fastest way to get to Steakhouse 71 is to hop on the Resort Monorail from the Great Ceremonial House. The monorail ride is quick, only two stops away, and you’ll also enjoy some fantastic views of Magic Kingdom Park along the way. Once you arrive at the Contemporary, take the escalator or elevator down to the first floor, where you’ll find Steakhouse 71.

If you haven’t gotten your steps in for the day or want to work off the Steakhouse 71 Signature Chocolate Cake, you can also enjoy a stroll around Seven Seas Lagoon. From the Polynesian, you can walk to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, continue to Magic Kingdom Park, and then follow signs for the walking path to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Want to walk home? Just flip it and reverse it! If this interests you, I advise you to check with the front desk of the Polynesian first, as the ongoing construction of the new Disney Vacation Club Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows may have the walking path from the Polynesian to the Grand Floridian temporarily closed.

Using a ride-share service or taxi is another option if you're in a rush. It’s a quick drive to the Contemporary, and you’ll be dropped off at the front entrance. Show the Cast Member at the parking lot entrance of the Contemporary your dining reservation in the My Disney Experience app, and you will be good to go!

No matter how you choose to get there, I hope you have an incredible time at Steakhouse 71. Enjoy every bite, and if you have any more questions, feel free to reach out!

    Bon appétit!
