What is the fastest way to get to Splash Mountain first thing in the morning? Thinking about taking the train but not sure if that would be faster than walking back. Also need to consider the morning show being at the castle now.

    Hi Gina,

If you're eager to be among the first to ride Splash Mountain on the day of your visit, I'd suggest walking vs. riding the Walt Disney World Railroad to Frontierland. The directions feature of the My Disney Experience Mobile App lists the walk from the entrance of Magic Kingdom to Splash Mountain as taking 8 minutes. Even if it takes twice that long to do it leisurely, it likely will be just as fast or faster than riding the train, especially if you need to wait a few minutes for it to arrive.

I was in Magic Kingdom earlier this week for the Let the Magic Begin opening show, and the guests watching the show were clustered near the front of Cinderella Castle for a good view. If I were you, for the fastest route to Splash Mountain, I'd hang a left at the end of Main Street in front of Casey's Corner and go through Adventureland to reach Splash Mountain in Frontierland. I think that route will avoid most of the arriving crowds and get you to your Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah fun in no time.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Gina. Please let us know if we can help in way other way as you plan your visit. Enjoy!
