Greetings, Karissa, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disneyland Resort adventures are about to begin, and I couldn’t be more excited for you!
I’m happy to report that everything at the Disneyland Resort is within walking distance, including the entrances of
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park! In fact, the Main Entrances of both theme parks face each other, and you can easily walk from one Main Entrance to the other in a matter of minutes. So, no transfer is needed between these two theme parks, or between any part of the Disneyland Resort. You’ll find the Main Entrance Ticket Booths located between the theme parks as well, in an area referred to as the Esplanade. The Parking Lot Tram loading and unloading areas are also just a short walk from both Main Entrances.
Just beyond the Esplanade, you’ll find
Downtown Disney District, which offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences for the whole family. So, you can easily leave the parks for a
dining reservation at a Downtown Disney District restaurant, and return for more park fun when you’re done! The
Disneyland Monorail also has a station at Downtown Disney District, which is close to the
Disneyland Hotel.
Speaking of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, all three hotels are also within walking distance. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the closest, with an exclusive entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. The Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are conveniently located at the end of Downtown Disney District.
Check out
this handy map of the Disneyland Resort to help you get an idea of where everything is situated. I love not having to worry about transportation when I’m staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel… this convenience truly makes your magical vacation stress-free!
Wishing you a very merry day filled with fun and adventure!
