Howdy, Tiffany and welcome to planDisney!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! I love the peacefulness of the campground, but knowing I'm still so close to the magic. Listening to the train whistle from
Magic Kingdom Park in the morning is the best way to wake up and start the day.
The 1400 Loop, or Little and Big Bear Path, is a great location! You're close to the Meadow Trading Post, Bike Barn for activities,
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long and the Meadow Swimmin' Pool. The easiest and fastest way to get to
Disney's Hollywood Studios from Fort Wilderness is by vehicle, if you have one. You can drive yourselves right from your campsite to the Hollywood Studios parking lot in about 15 minutes. If you don't want to drive your car, you can take an internal bus from your loop to the Outpost Depot at the front of the Resort and then take a bus to Hollywood Studios. Since you will have to wait on the buses to arrive and have a transfer, I would give yourself about 45 minutes to an hour of travel time. (I always give myself extra time just in case.) There is no watercraft that will take you to Hollywood Studios from Fort Wilderness. I also recommend driving a car if you're heading to
EPCOT or
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park as well. If you're going to Magic Kingdom Park, the fastest way to get there is to take an internal bus to the Settlement Depot by the marina and then take a boat right to the front gates.
If you haven't already, take a look into
renting a golf cart during your Fort Wilderness vacation. Parking and access to the Resort amenities is limited to cars, so having a golf cart is a very convenient way to travel within the property. You can drive and park them pretty much anywhere you want to go. They do book up fast, so I highly recommend reserving one as soon as possible.

Have a magical day!
