Hi Maggie! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
You are speaking my language when it comes to dining at the Walt Disney World Resort! There are a vast amount of places to choose from with every type of cuisine you can imagine. This is a big part of why I always feel the need to visit so often. Each trip can be filled with a new experience at a location that has recently opened or a reinvented menu item from one of your favorite places.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has a couple of great table service restaurants that my family has become frequent visitors to. Both
Ohana and
Kona Café have a variety of offerings that will please the entire family.
To get the dining reservations that you want, the most efficient way is to book them online when reservations become available. Reservations will open up
60 days in advance, typically around 5:45 AM EST. You'll need to get up early on this day and have your plan mapped out for which restaurants you want to go to on that day. I would suggest signing in to your
My Disney Experience account early that morning and having the webpage loaded for Ohana. Start refreshing your screen a few seconds before the time is ready and once it becomes available, click on the time that works best for your schedule.
If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will have the added benefit to make dining reservations for your entire length of stay, up to 10 days. This will give you the leg up on Guests who are staying offsite and will need to book their dining each day of their trip at the 60-day mark. The strategy here is to make your Ohana reservation for later in your trip. The reason is that you will only be competing for a time slot with other Guests who are staying in a Disney Resort Hotel. This game plan worked out great on a recent trip I took for getting a breakfast reservation at
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. I was able to snag a reservation at this highly sought-after spot.
Maggie, I hope you have some Disney magic fly your way when booking your reservations. With so many great options, I'm sure you will get everything you want!
Happy planning!
Greg
