Which is faster? Trying to get to the back of Magic Kingdom to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride. Should I take the train or try to walk (both at rope drop if possible)? I have Fast Pass, but want to save for Splash and Big Thunder and Space Mountains.

    Hi Edward!

I appreciate the way you're planning ahead, already envisioning yourself heading to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for your first ride of the day at Magic Kingdom Park! I'm always trying to maximize our time in the parks, so I often map out my routes from attraction to attraction as well. I try to make sure we get a chance to experience as much of the magic in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks as possible!

If you arrive at Rope Drop, your best bet would be to walk to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, for several reasons. First, waiting in line to board the Walt Disney World Railroad would probably take longer than a straight walk to the attraction. Second, there isn't a train station located very close to the entrance of  Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and you'd be making a stop at the Frontierland Station on the way. The closest train station is the Fantasyland Station, in the Storybook Circus section, and it's a bit of a walk from the station to the entrance of the Seven Dwarfs attraction.

My advice is to arrive early (before park opening), make your way down right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., and walk straight to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as soon as guests are allowed to head into Fantasyland. Hopefully you'll arrive ahead of the crowd and can start your day with a hearty "Heigh-Ho" as you twist and turn through the diamond mines.

I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
