Hi there, Faye!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to help you get ready for your magical journey at the Disneyland Resort.
Guests seeking
accommodations for a disability may speak with a Disneyland Resort Cast Member at any of the several
Guest Relations locations throughout the theme parks. They will be able to determine the best ways to help make your experience at the Disneyland Resort as enjoyable as possible.
Among the possible accommodations for Guests with disabilities is the
Disability Access Service (DAS). This service is designed for Guests who may not be able to tolerate a traditional attraction queue. Guests who qualify for DAS and their parties have their theme park admission registered for the service. Using the
Disneyland mobile app, a DAS return time for an attraction may then be reserved. To make access to attractions fair for everyone, the return time is based on the current estimated wait time of the standby queue for the attraction. Until the designated return time, the DAS users can wait in a location more comfortable for them. Any time after the scheduled time, they can then return to the entrance designated for DAS Guests to experience the attraction with minimal additional wait time.
Tony’s Tip: My family and I have also found the accommodations available for Guests with disabilities very helpful in making our visits to the Disneyland Resort as magical as possible. We have found that by purchasing the optional
Disney Genie+ service and using it along with DAS, we can enjoy even more attractions during our visit. For example, we can book a Genie+
Lightning Lane return time that overlaps with the return time we schedule for a different attraction with DAS.
I hope you have a fantastic time at the Disneyland Resort, Faye. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you prepare for your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
