Hi do you see fast passes returning soon? Our trip is planned Jan30-Feb52022. How far in advance can you reserve park reservations and/or restaurant reservations?

    Hi Carol!

You’ve asked a very popular question, as Guests far and wide are anxious to know when their favorites like FastPass+ will be returning. I’ve done my best to channel Madam Leota, one of the 999 residents of The Haunted Mansion to help get you an answer…
“Wizards and witches, wherever you dwell, give us a hint, by ringing a bell!”

    Alas… no answer.

At this point, even with Madame Leota’s crystal ball, my answer to the FastPass+ question would be a total guess. I do believe FastPass+ will return at some point, but I don’t think it will be soon. At least not soon enough for my summer visit. At the very earliest perhaps this fall, but maybe not until next spring. Like everything during the past year, life is unpredictable, and reopening things depends a lot on how the pandemic continues to play out.

As of this writing, the Disney Park Pass Availability Calender is showing availability into the first week of January 2023. As an Annual Passholder, it is willing to let me reserve as late as the last day of December 2022. If you will be planning a trip in the winter of 2022, I would make your Disney Park Pass Reservations as soon as you have your Disney Theme Park Tickets. You can always change your Park Passes later if there is availability, but you don’t want to forget and end up without a reservation.

For Guests staying within the Disney Resort Collection of hotels, you can begin booking Advance Dining Reservations 60 days before your check-in day and make reservations for the entire length of your stay. This is a big perk right now because popular locations are filling fast and the additional booking window for Disney Resort Collection Guests means a much better chance at securing that favorite dining location. Day Guests may only book one day at a time, 60 days in advance. As I mentioned above though, life is unpredictable, and it is possible that this booking window could change before your 2022 trip. I recommend subscribing to the Disney Parks Blog for reopening updates, and following Walt Disney World and the Disney Parks Blog on social media accounts as the best way to hear about changes when they are announced.

You’ve still got quite a bit of time before your trip, Carol, and I hope you’ll continue to visit us with your planning questions here on planDisney. We love talking Disney and are here to help!

    Wishing you a Magical Day!
