Mom and child riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Are there any MUST DO fast passes. I haven't been to Disney in years, and am traveling with a 4 year old and 14 year old. We are willing to wait but would also like to speed up some of the more popular rides, if possible. And age specific, if possible.

Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debra!

Did you know that Guests staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel can book their FastPass+ experiences up to 60 days in advance of their check-in date? And Guests staying off property can book theirs up to 30 days out. Using this pre-booking feature can definitely help reduce your wait for some of the most popular attractions.

For me, these must-do experiences include Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park and Soarin’ Around the World, Test Track or Frozen Ever After at Epcot. All of the Theme Parks except Magic Kingdom Park use a “tiered” system for FastPass distribution, so you’ll only be able to choose one of the most popular options and two additional options from the shows and other attractions available in each Park.

Each of these suggestions is great because they’re ones that every member of the family can enjoy. Pay attention to height restrictions before you make your selections, though, to make sure your 4-year-old will be able to enjoy each one.

There are so many new, exciting attractions and entertainment options at Walt Disney World Resort, Debra, and more to come soon. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens next month, so you and your Party will be able to enjoy that during your December visit, too. Currently there aren’t FastPass+ options available for the attractions in this area, but stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog in case that changes before your visit later this year.

In the meantime, please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you plan your Magical getaway to Walt Disney World Resort. We’re always happy to help.
