    Donna from RI Asked

Are fast passes available to be booked? Are there any meal plans available - we're staying for a week in Nov. Will there be any room discounts for our stay in Nov.

Hello there, Donna! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm excited to see that you will be visiting Walt Disney World later this year. Late November is a really great time to visit. The parks look so festive at that time of year.

At this time, Donna, the FastPass+ program has been temporarily suspended. It has not yet returned to us since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer. Capacity is still currently being limited so there really isn't a need for the program at this time. As we see capacity limitations change, I would think we will also see the return of the FastPass+ program. Until then, if you have a bunch of must-do attractions on your list, I suggest arriving at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks early in the morning. I like to get there about 45 minutes prior to the park opening. This gives me plenty of time to park, go through security and head to the first attraction of the day before the park is even technically open. I'm always amazed at just how much my family and I can get done first thing in the morning.

Another program that has not yet returned is the Disney Dining Plan. I don't think we will see this back until most, if not all, of the restaurants around Walt Disney World are back open. There are still quite a few dining locations closed and I have not yet heard anything about them reopening anytime soon. If the Disney Dining Plan does become available for your vacation dates, you would be able to add this on to your vacation package at that time. Until then, I've been suggesting to people that love the Disney Dining Plan to pick up Disney Gift Cards to put aside for their vacation. I like to add a small one to my grocery cart each week. Using Disney Gift Cards is similar to the Disney Dining Plan in the way that the money is already deducted from your bank account and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World while on vacation. It makes it easier to order that expensive steak and a nice glass of wine knowing that I've already put the money aside for that specifically. If you pick up a small Disney Gift Card each week between now and your trip, you'd have plenty put aside to really splurge on restaurants and snacks while you are there. You can combine all of the Disney Gift Cards that you pick up over on the Disney Gift Card website up to $1000 per card. This will make it easier to manage when you are at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

I can't say for sure if there is going to be a deal out during your travel dates or not, Donna, but it wouldn't surprise me. After the summer specials end, we've typically always seen one come out for fall travel dates. Keep an eye out over on the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page of the Walt Disney World website. That's where you'll find a current list of all of the vacation discounts that might apply to you.

I hope this helps, Donna! If you have any other questions while you are planning your next Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help.

Have a great rest of your day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
