how much is the fast pass tickets?

Hello, Amanda! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I can see that your vacation to Walt Disney World is only a few months away. I bet you are getting so excited. The countdown is on!

Amanda, since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer the FastPass+ program has been temporarily suspended. There has not yet been an announcement of when that program will return. Currently, all Guests must wait in the standby queue for all attractions at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Before the FastPass+ program was suspended, it was a free service to all Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket holders. How the program worked was once you linked your admission tickets to your MyDisneyExperience account, you could pre-select up to three attractions per day to make a FastPass+ reservation for. This was basically a placeholder for you in the express queue. Once you used your initial three FastPass+ selections each day, you were then able to pick an additional FastPass+ selection on a rolling basis. Meaning you could pick another one, use it, pick another one, use it and so forth.

Since the FastPass+ system is currently unavailable, I suggest planning early mornings at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks to avoid waiting in long lines. My family and I always try to be at the Walt Disney World Theme Park we are visiting that day 45 minutes to an hour prior to opening. This gives us enough time to park, go through temperature screening and security, scan into the park and head to our number one must-do before the park technically opens. From there we are able to get so much checked off our park to-do list before lunchtime when I typically find the parks to be the most crowded. Oftentimes, we will even head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel we happen to be staying at around this time for an afternoon swim. It's a nice way to relax for a while after such an early morning. Then, in the evening hours, we like to head back to the park to finish off anything we didn't get to experience in the mornings. I find the parks to be much less crowded in the morning and then again after dinner time.

Amanda, if the FastPass+ reservation system returns before your Walt Disney World vacation, that announcement and all of the details will be made on the Disney Parks Blog. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and ask.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
