How does fast pass switch work

    Dear Harlan,

Thank you again for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I'm not sure from your question if you're asking about making FastPass+ selections or about Rider Switch Services, so I will cover both.

FastPass+ is a terrific part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If you are an on-site resort hotel guest, you can make three FastPass+ selections per person, per day, for your chosen park. If you are an off-site guest or an Annual Passholder, you can make those selections up to 30 days in advance of your desired date. These FastPass+ selections allow you to enter an attraction through a different, shorter line, thereby decreasing your wait time at those three attractions. After you have used those first three FastPass+ selections, you can select additional FastPass+ selections one at a time until there are no more left for the day. It's a wonderful innovation. I suggest that you download the My Disney Experience app to make those selections even more easily!

As for the Rider Switch Service at the Walt Disney World Resort, that is another wonderful aspect of planning your trip. Some of our younger guests can't ride a particular attraction due to height restrictions, and if that is so, you may ask a Cast Member at the entrance to the attraction for a Rider Switch. The Cast Member will give you a card that you can use. One adult in your party waits in line and rides the attraction, and then the other adult can enter that same attraction using a shorter line after handing off the child to the adult who rode first.

    Hope that helps!
