Deana from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

If you have a fast pass for a ride and it is closed during your time can you come back later when ride reopens as a fast pass rider?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Deana. Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Safety is a top priority at Disney Parks and temporary ride closure during the day is necessary to prevent injuries to Guests and Cast Members. If a ride is temporarily closed when you have a valid FastPass, you can return at a later time when the ride resumes operation.

There is usually a Cast Member or two standing by the ride entrance. I like to ask for an approximate closure time so I can plan what our family should do next. Sometimes, a ride may be down for hours, while other times the Cast Member would inform us the ride should be back in full operation within minutes. While there's no guarantee, oftentimes it's helpful to get an idea.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Deana. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    Sending you Pixie Dusts,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
