When can I make my fast pass reservations and my dinner reservations? We get there on Dec 27

Hello there, Meredith! Welcome to planDisney, I'm glad you've stopped by with your planning questions. I always get so excited when I see that a Guest is visiting right around Christmastime. My family and I always spend Christmas week at Walt Disney World. The parks are so festive and I absolutely love it. I know you are going to have a great time!

Since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer, Meredith, the FastPass+ program has remained temporarily suspended. I have not received word if or when it might return to us. Right now, with the parks at a limited capacity, there really isn't much need for the FastPass+ program. However, as we return to a world of magic and the park capacity increases I have a feeling we will see it return once again. If it does not return before your vacation later this year, what I suggest is arriving at the parks early each morning. You will be so surprised at how much you are able to cross off of your must-do list just by waking up a little bit earlier than you typically would each day. My family and I like to be at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks 45 minutes to the scheduled opening time. This gives us enough time to park, head through security and make our way to the first attraction of the day - all before the park is technically open! It doesn't matter how many times I go, I'm always so pleased with how much we've crossed off of our to-do list by lunchtime. If and when the FastPass+ program does return, we will be able to find the announcement and all of the details over on the Disney Parks Blog so be sure to keep an eye out over there.

Currently, you are able to make advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in date. If my math is correct, and you'll want to double-check me on this, it looks like you will be able to make your reservations Thursday, October 28, 2021. You can make advanced dining reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time or by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. You will be able to make dining reservations for the length of your stay up to 10 days.

If you are looking for a dining recommendation, my favorite place to eat at Walt Disney World right now is The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. The restaurant is set right on the late and is a perfect spot to watch the sun go down. There is something on the menu that will please even the pickiest of eaters. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll, served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. It's absolutely delicious!

I hope this helps, Meredith. If you have any other planning questions before your trip, come back and ask me. I'm here to help!

    Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
