What fast pass rides/attractions do you recommend for a 2 and 5 year old at Animal Kingdom?

Hello Lydia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

In August of 2015, I took my children (ages 2 and 5) to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park twice during our stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The oldest loves animals and was enamored with everything the Theme Park had to offer.

As far as FastPass+ Selections for your young children, I recommend getting an early morning FastPass+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris as it is(in my opinion) the main attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park as far as an actual animal experience is concerned. If you arrive early enough or take advantage of Morning Extra Magic Hours as a benefit to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel however, you may want to hold onto this FastPass+ Selection for a later experience as the early-morning queue may not be that long.

With the new Pandora - The World of Avatar officially open, I would also recommend reserving a FastPass+ Selection for the Na'Vi River Journey. Be advised that the new Pandora - The World of Avatar is extremely popular and you will need to book your FastPass+ Selections as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Focus your FastPass+ Selections on attractions or entertainment you don't want to miss like Finding Nemo - The Musical or Festival of the Lion King. The attractions and shows suitable for children ages 2 to 5 at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are high-capacity and most are readily accessible without the need for a FastPass+, so use your final selection that balances the planning for your day.

    Have a Wild Adventure!
