Is I use a fast pass or a fast pass+ how long of a wait can I expect

    Hi Kendra!

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I think of Disney FastPass+ as a great time-saving convenience, especially for the most popular attractions with the longest standby lines. The FastPass+ wait time for an attraction is going to vary by the attraction and how many Guests are waiting in the attraction standby line. I'd say generally speaking — and I'm basing this from my own overall experiences rather than my stopwatch — I find I'm waiting about 10-15 minutes with FastPass+ when the standby line is a 60-minute or so wait time. With longer standby times, the FastPass+ wait time can be longer.

For me, FastPass+ is a must-do approach for popular attractions that command the longest standby times. Examples are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom, Frozen Ever After and Soarin' Around the World in Epcot, Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Rock 'n' Roller in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

There are 2 quick tips I'll share. The first is to download the My Disney Experience mobile app to check out wait times and get familiar with which attractions typically have a long wait time or a short wait time. My second quick tip is to make your FastPass+ selections as soon as you can. If you're staying at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections 60 days before check-in for your whole length of stay. If you're staying off-property, you can make your FastPass+ selections 30 days before check-in. The FastPass+ selection window opens at 7 a.m. Eastern Time.

I think with FastPass+ you can expect shorter wait times for in-demand attractions, and that means more magic for you.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
