While the FastPass that guests might be used to no longer exists, there are a couple of tools that will help you skip the traditional standby lines:
Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. What are Lightning Lanes? They are the old FastPass lines.
Disney Genie+ can be added daily during your vacation. It will help you gain Lightning Lane access to over 40 popular attractions throughout Walt Disney World. At 7:00 AM on the day of their park visit, guests can make a Lightning Lane selection for one attraction. They will be given a return time when they will be able to enter the Lightning Lane for their chosen attraction. As soon as they've checked into that line, they can make a new selection for a different attraction. Basically, you can make one Lightning Lane selection at a time throughout your day in the park.
Individual Lightning Lane purchases are a bit different. There are one or two of the most popular attractions in each park that are not included with your Genie+ purchase. If you want to access the Lightning Lanes for these attractions, you can choose to pay a fee for each guest to skip the line.
Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes at 7:00 AM, while other guests can make those purchases once the park they are visiting officially opens for the day. Another difference with Individual Lightning Lanes is that if there are multiple return times available, you will get to select the time that works best for you.
Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes are two separate features. You may decide to only purchase Individual Lightning Lane for
Avatar Flight of Passage on the day you visit Disney's Animal Kingdom. Maybe on the day you visit Magic Kingdom, you might choose to purchase Genie+ and save time on multiple attractions, but wait in the standby line for
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. When you visit Disney's Hollywood Studios you might decide you want to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance AND get Genie+ to help save time on the other popular attractions like
Slinky Dog Dash. I think you'll find you have a lot of options when it comes to purchasing either of these tools.
