Oh Boy! In a matter of days, you will be immersed in
The World's Most Magical Celebration 50 yEARS in the making at
Walt Disney World Resort. At the resorts, theme parks, and
Disney Springs you can find the
50th Anniversary Celebration Merchandise. My personal favorite is the nostalgic
Vault Collection.
We said farewell to the old fast pass system after the reopening of the theme parks. The new system is called
Disney Genie Service. I encourage you to watch this
Disney Parks Video for an overview of the whole system to familiarize yourself with the program. Basically, there are three levels that are all found in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. The complementary version, Disney Genie will take your preferences and offer a customized day for you to assist in minimizing wait times and maximizing your day. With this version, please note you will wait in conventional attraction queue lines.
The next level is Disney Genie+ Service which can be added on beginning at midnight on the day of your
Disney Park Pass Reservation. Beginning at 7:00 AM, you can make a
Lightning Lane selection which will give an hour return window in a separate queue. These lines will feel fast pass familiar to you. To add this service open the app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner, select "Get Disney Genie+ for Today," follow the prompts to add, and submit payment. Protip, if your first selection is further than two hours out, once you enter the park you can make another selection.
And finally, for those most coveted attractions, you can purchase an
Individual Lightning Lane.
Pricing and availability vary by attraction. Check the app on the day of your visit for options. Guests of
Disney Resorts Collection, Walt Disney World
Swan and
Dolphin hotel, and guests of
Shades of Green® can make their first selection at 7:00. All other guests must wait until park opening to purchase.
