Hello Joanna,
Thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
FastPass+ is a reservation system that allows you access to a shorter wait time for attractions. Each attraction that utilizes the FastPass+ system has what is known as a standby line and a FastPass+ line. Only Guests that have reserved a return time through the FastPass+ selection process are allowed access to the FastPass+ line. My family loves the FastPass+ systems as it helps us plan our day and significantly reduces the amount of time we wait in line.
Any guest with a theme park ticket connected to them in their
My Disney Experience account can make FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can make their selections 60 days in advance. Each guest can make three FastPass+ selections each day. Once you have used your initial FastPass+ experiences, you can obtain a fourth if there is availability by visiting a FastPass+ kiosk in a theme park, or from the My Disney Experience mobile app.
As you can see, the
My Disney Experience app is essential when planning your Walt Disney World vacation. If you have not downloaded it yet, that would be a great place to start!
If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help!
See ya real soon,
Anne
