Hey howdy hey, Sherrie! You’ve got a friend in me at
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with another great question.
It looks like you’re a pro when it comes to Walt Disney World Resort, so I’m thrilled to hEAR that you’re now visiting the
Disneyland Resort! There’s something so magical about walking in Walt’s footsteps, and I can’t wait for you to experience the charm, history, and magic of the Happiest Place on Earth!
I’m so sorry your daughter was hospitalized over Christmas, and that she’s still suffering from fatigue and weakness. All three
Disneyland Resort hotels, including
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, are within walking distance of
Downtown Disney District,
Disneyland Park, and
Disney California Adventure Park, but Paradise Pier Hotel is the farthest of the three. You’ll find it located across the street from
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and just past the
Disneyland Hotel. Here’s
an interactive map so you can get a feel for the location and the path you’d follow to enter the theme parks. You would exit the hotel and head toward the entrance of Downtown Disney District, where you could either take the
Disneyland Monorail into Disneyland Park, (with a valid
theme park ticket and
park reservation) or continue walking through Downtown Disney District to reach the main entrances of both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I’d estimate that Paradise Pier Hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main entrances of both theme parks.
If you’re looking for the Disneyland Resort hotel that’s closest to both theme parks, I’d recommend Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which offers an exclusive entrance directly into Disney California Adventure Park! You can literally wake up, get dressed, and walk inside the special entrance into the park within minutes! This location would also offer your daughter easy access to your hotel room whenever she needs a break. Disneyland Park is also just a short walk across The Esplanade from Disney California Adventure Park.
Depending on your daughter’s age and size, you may also want to think about renting a
stroller or
wheelchair for her upon arrival at the theme parks. If you’d prefer to have a stroller or wheelchair for your length of stay, I recommend checking out Disney’s Featured Provider, ScooterBug, a private mobility rental company in Anaheim. For more information, you can visit ScooterBug.com/Anaheim, or call the company at (800) 726-8284.
I hope this information helps you plan a magical, memorable visit to the Disneyland Resort, Sherrie! Please stop back with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
See ya’ real soon!
