Hi there, Lisa, and thank you for stopping back by planDisney!
From the very first time I rode the Monorail through the lobby as a tiny Mousketeer, I dreamt of one day becoming a Guest of
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I'm sure you can imagine my delight when that dream was fulfilled with my
planDisney classmates just last year. Because I raved so much about its
incredible theming (those super suits 'hanging' in the closets are iconic) and convenient location, my husband has moved a Contemporary vacation to the top of his magical bucket list.
Although he dreams of one day opening his Disney Resort hotel room door to see the
Monorail gliding by, because Garden Wing rooms are a bit more
budget-friendly than those in the Main Tower, we've been doing a bit of digging into what to expect as a Guest of the Garden Wing, so I'm happy to pass along what I've unearthed.
Of course, it will depend upon the specific location of your room, but typically, you can expect the (covered) walk from the Garden Wing to the Main Tower to take approximately five minutes. Once you've reached the Main Tower, the Contemporary-exclusive walking path (with its dedicated security checkpoint) will lead you on a ten-minute(ish) stroll (of course, it would never take Dash Parr that long) to the entrance of
Magic Kingdom Park. I'm also delighted to confirm that all rooms (regardless of location) feature the same
Incredibles theming, and I've even been told that some people prefer the Garden Wing rooms because of their proximity to the
pool and quieter atmosphere.
I hope this was helpful, Lisa, and that an incredible vacation awaits you! If you have any additional questions as you are planning, feel free to stop back by.
I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
